Description: Old Westbury Gardens is situated on the former Georgian mansion estate of financier-sportsman John S. Phipps. While the mansion, built in 1906, is filled with English antiques, the 160 acres of grounds include formal gardens, woodlands, and ponds that visitors can explore. Hours and days of operation vary throughout the year. If the weather is nice, plan on spending several hours exploring the mansion and grounds. There’s a gift shop and cafe on the premises.
