Description: This West Austin pool is fed by an artesian well, and its fresh water is a major attraction, especially for families who let the little ones wade in the large, shallow end of the pool. Eilers Park at the intersection of MoPac and Lake Austin Boulevard is home to the pool. The early morning hours are set aside for lap swimmers.

Description: Blue Hole has passed from private ownership to the City of Wimberley. Texas Monthly magazine named this swimming hole (featured in several movies) as one of the top 10 in Texas. It is along Cypress Creek, near Wimberley. There is a small admission fee and season passes are available for $10.

Description: The pool and the grotto that serve as the crown jewel of this 232-acre park were formed when the dome of an underground river collapsed thousands of years ago. The grotto is now a unique ecosystem. The emphasis is on the environment here, so access to the pool for swimmers is limited. Calling ahead is vital. Once the 100-car parking lot is full, the park closes. Admission is $8 per car, $3 for pedestrians and bicycles.

Description: Devotees of swimming holes tout this natural pool as a great place to take the family, since the waters are clear and shallow. The pool, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is about 7 miles west of the point where the Pedernales River meets Highway 71. Turn north on Spur 191 and follow the signs. The pool is on privately owned land that is shaded by large cypress trees. There are picnic and camping facilities at the pool. Daily admission is $4 for adults and $3 for children ages 4 to 11. There are additional fees for overnight stays. No pets allowed.

Description: The club has adopted Bob Wentz Park as its club project, working to keep the park clean and litter free. In addition to serving as a clearinghouse for Windsurfers, the club also meets socially every month, usually at a Lake Travis–area restaurant.
