We ordered a grilled chicken basket with a gluten free bun. Upon arriving home, it was a regular grilled chicken sandwich. This was unacceptable because I have Celiac Disease and in no way can I eat this. Should have checked the bag before we left but I asked my daughter if everything was in there and she said yes erroneously, not understanding that the gluten free bun is packaged separately and was not in there. Also, by the time the wheat bun hits the chicken, that's it for me. I can't have it. There is no choice but to lump it or return ro Chic Fil A for a replacement. The problem was explained by the receipt being incorrect despite it being ordered correctly - and yes I did receive a gluten free replacement. For this type of terrible customer service and my 30 minutes time driving back and forth to correct this, I asked for a voucher for a free meal next time only to be told they don't forget vouchers and they fixed my meal for free ( I guess some places charge you to fix their mistakes ?) In truth, I think they were not referring to charging me the $1.35 up charge for a gluten free bun. Outrageous, considering all the effort I had to go through to get my meal that was ordered. I understand there is only so much a maanger can do but to give no voucher for a future visit - AND - state that I should be happy it was fixed for free - the customer service was really lacking. Beware - check your bag before leaving if you get take out. Especially if you can't eat whatever might be given instead.
