      Lids were open on recycling and garbage dumpsters. All containers being stored outsied holding secycling or garbage must be fitted with doors or lids that remain closed in between uses. Shut lids in between uses.

      Boxes containing coffee stored on floor next to storage racks. Need to store up and off floor at least six inches.

      The ventilation covers in both restrooms are getting some dust build-up and should be cleaned.

    • Smoking area: designated/posted (Smoking prohibitions in public buildings: signs posted, ashtrays present, smoking observed. IAC 641-153)
      "No Smoking" sign on door does not meet Iowa sign requirement. Need to post required signs at entrances to establishment. New signs given to post.

      Employees are not wearing any hair restraints. Food employees shall wear hair restraints such as hats, hair coverings or nets, that are designed and worn to effectively keep their hair from contacting exposed food, clean equipment, utensils, and linens and single service articles.

      Various types of syrups are being stored on the floor in the storage unit. Shall keep food itmes at least 6 inches above the floor to prevent contamination.
    • Labeling (Food working containers not identified with common name of food 3-302.12, p 63)
      Containers of sugar and carmel syrup are not labeled.. Working containers holding food that are removed from their original packages such as cooking oils, flour, herbs, salt, spices and sugar shall be identified with the common name of the food. CORRECTED ON SITE.

    • Handwashing facilities (Handwashing signs not posted 6-301.14, pg 173)
      A sign or poster that notifies food employes to wash their hands shall be provided at all handwashing sinks used by food employees and shall be clearly visible to food employees. Given two handwashing sink only signs during this inspection.

      Mens and womens restroom have dust build up and shall be detailed more frequently. Intake and exhaust air ducts shall be cleaned and filters changed so they are not a source of contamination by dust, dirt and other materials.

      Spray bottle of glass cleaner being stored next to food items. Poisonous or toxic materials shall be stored so they can not contaminate food, equipment, utensils, linens, or single service articles. The glass cleaner was moved to the chemical storage area. CORRECTED ON SITE.
