User-submitted facts and corrections:

  • In 2000, St. Catherine Laboure School and Holy Family School were combined, with the location of the school being at Holy Family. In an effort to satisfy parishioners of both churches, the name of the school was changed to Corpus Christi Catholic School. The enrollment for the 2006/2007 school year was approximately 70 children. Due to decreasing demographics and a shortage of Catholic Priests, on July 1, 2006, Bishop Edward Braxton, (Belleville Diocese) supressed St. Catherine Laboure, Cahokia and Imacculate Conception, Centreville Parishes, with many of the parishioners now becoming members of the 308 year old Holy Family Catholic Church.
