One 12/6/2014 I went to pay the balance and pick up my layaway that contained the remainder of my Christmas shopping. I started the layaway in 09/2014 to ensure that I would have the toys that my kids and nieces/nephews wanted (long before the Christmas madness began). After waiting for more than an hour as they searched the layaway area, I was notified rather callously by the store manager that my layaway was "gone". He later informed me that "things happen" when items get moved around in their back area. After this he sends me to the front customer service desk for a refund and walks off. There were no apologies or regard to my suffering as I now had to hunt for the items that I had so easily set aside before. There are no Kmart locations in my area (2 went out of business) so I travel more than 15 miles to get to this one.
P.S. I was unable to replace most of the toys I originally had due to their unavailability and most likely won't be able to until after the holidays.
I would NOT recommend this location!!!
Would you recommend Kmart to others? No
