I prepaid for two months of membership at this branch of LA Fitness. The sales person did not disclose to me their child care hours, which are not the same as their operating hours. They are closed for 4 hours during the afternoon. Also a piece of weight equipment I use was broken during my entire first month of membership. I brought it to the staff's attention many times, but a replacement was never provided. I brought these issues to the sales staff. They were indifferent and promised follow-up which never came.
I eventually spoke to the club's operations director, Darin, who was also indifferent. He claimed that the weight equipment was on order, and didn't know when it would be available. I asked to cancel my membership, and he refused to refund me for the upcoming month of membership I had prepaid. I am having to file a dispute with my credit card company.
I would avoid this place. Despite signs everywhere that the staff are helpful and there to serve the members, my experience was the complete opposite. I only encountered dummies who couldn't address simple issues, and acted like they were bothering you whenever you asked a question. No smiles.
There are several other good options nearby, including YouFit, Punch Fitness, Anytime Fitness and the Bob Sierra YMCA.
