Stopped at 9 am to check deli cooler temperature in follow up to 5/20/2011 inspection. Product temperatures of deli meats and cheeses recorded at 43-44*f, still too high even after the unit was defrosted, owner made adjustment to thermostat and monitored air temp (was at 40*f) to see if that temperature would drop, if not then he would call for service, it did not drop, I came back at 3 PM, serviceman on site, unit needed refrigerant gas, service complete operating temperature down to 40* at time of inspection.. Serviceman doing routine maintenance / service on all coolers while on site, thank you.

Product temperatures of foods stored in retail deli case recorded above 41*. All product removed to walk in cooler unit can be defrosted and proper temperatures maintained. See below.

Build up of frozen condensate on retail deli cooler evaporation unit coils. Question if automatic defrost system is working? check with your serviceman.
- Repair & Cleaning Various Premises, Structures, Attachments & Fixtures (46.981(a)-(c)(g)(n))
Still an issue with the clutter, old equipment, displays, etc in back room, making cleaning & pest control difficult.
