The top and side contact surfaces of the counter tops must be painted or resurfaced in order to be smooth, easily cleanable. In addition, the counters must be tight to the wall and sealed/caulked, as necessary.

Although the light bulbs in the food preparation area are shatter resistant, the fixture type constitutes a safety concern and difficulty in cleaning. The type of lighting must be modified to resolve the above issues.
