Hudson, MA : Apsley Street Park Bridge. User addition: The bridge is located in Wood Park, off Park Street in Hudson and spans the Assabet River. The bridge is named after US Congressman L. D. Apsley (R), who owned and was president of the Apsley-Firestone Rubber Company. I assume he was a generous benefactor involved in the financing of this pedestrian bridge. The bridge is not located on Apsley Street, but the defunct rubber company, once Hudson's largest emplyer and current home of Hudson Lock, LLP, is.
