Columbia: On the left is the Strom Thurmond Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, built 1975-1979, architect Marcel Breuer. It is in the Brutalist style. I like the brise soleils around the windows, which are in the form of the letter F, perhaps for Federal. On the right is 1801 Assembly St, the former VA building. It was built 1951 or 1952.
