| Description: | D&M's Legal Document Service LDA #114 is a subsidiary of D&M's Notary & Paralegal Service, Inc., a California corporation. We have been in business since 1996. Effective July 23, 2007, we are providing legal document preparation services as D&M's Legal Document Service. As a Legal Document Assistant (LDA), we are professionals authorized under California law to prepare legal documents and provide self-help services at the specific direction of the consumer. An LDA is not a lawyer. By law, LDA's cannot give legal advice or represent individuals in court. LDA's are held to the same standards and educational requirement as a paralegal working in a law office. LDA's are required by law to be registered and bonded in the county in which they have their principal place of business. We are registered and bonded in Los Angeles County. Legal Document Assistants (LDA's) were once known as Independent Paralegals. However, as of January 1, 2000, with the passage of California State Senate Bill SB1418, only those paralegals working directly for attorneys may now be referred to as paralegals. Those formerly known as Independent Paralegals are now referred to as Legal Document Assistants. Although we are now using our subsidiary name, our years of business exprience and professional service will always remain the same. We are not a Pre-Paid Legal Service. We assist the "self-help" client handle their own legal matters without the cost of an attorney. We are diffrent from our competitors because we provide mobile service to our customers that are unable to, or do not wish to make an office visit. There is no need for a customer to leave the comfort of their home or rush from their office to make an appointment when legal documents need to be typed or for Notary Public service. We travel to hospitals, jails, prisons, and many other locations. We are an independently owned, fully mobile Notary Public and legal document preparation service. Our customers are charged low reasonable rates for the document preparation and/or Notary Public service we provide. At the direction of our customers we prepare court required documents for persons representing themselves in legal matters such as Divorce, Legal Separation, Marital Settlement Agreements, Child Custody, Child Support or Child Visitation, Petition for Name Change, Request For Exemption From Wage Garnishment, Small Claims, Civil Complaint, Response To Civil Complaint, Amendment To Civil Complaint, Response to Unlawful Detainer Complaints and much more. As you direct, we also prepare Grant and Quitclaim Deeds, Declaration Of Homestead, Affidavit Of Death Of Joint Tenant, Basic Living Trust, Wills, Power Of Attorney, Declaration Of Domestic Partnership and Resumes, Lease Agreements, Contracts and other documents. | |
