| Description: | Silver Dollar is a quarter-mile, NHRA sanctioned drag strip which is proud to host one of the final races each year of the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. Other events include the Pennington Seed Spring Nationals, which is an all-Harley motorcycle event and numberous track rentals to car clubs around the Southeast. Silver Dollar conducts the Jerry Barker Chevrolet ET Racing Series which is a part of the NHRA's Summit Racing Equipment ET Racing program. Each Friday night is devoted to the AAA Street Legal Drags. Also contested is the NHRA O'Reilly Auto Parts Junior Dragster Series. Racing is conducted each Friday night and Saturday afternoon and evening from March through November. Early season testing is allowed on Saturday afternoons from late January through the month of February. | ||||
