| Description: | Discovery Home Care Inc., is a Non-profit Emergency Care Shelter for children ages 6-18. Our children have been displaced from their family for various reason including child neglect,child abuse, homelessness, runaway or in Department of Social Service. We currently serve Gaston, Lincoln, Cleveland, Mecklenburg and Iredell Counties in North Carolina. We are open and staffed 24 hours per day. Children in our care are in a real "home setting". They received home cooked meal daily. Go on outtings and recreational activities. We often just receive the child themselves without the neccessary personal items or clothes appropiate for school. To accomplish all we do, We can really use the help of our community. We accepted donations, contributions and clothing an personal items for the children.
