Description:	HLM Studios is a new recording facility catering to songwriting indiviuals, performance groups, voice over talent, jingle production, and mobile recording. We are a full digital recording facility offering Logic, Digital Performer and ProTools platforms because at HLM, we understand the need for digital accuracy, ease of use and speed without sacrificing the warm full sound of analog. We specialize in bringing the full vision of the artist (or client) to light. This includes pre-production meetings involving project planning to gain the best recording possible. In other words, we don't just hit the record button and leave you to struggle - we are committed to helping artists grow to their full potential. After all, shouldn't this recording make an accurate statement about you? HLM is owned and operated by Darin Karnes, a 39-year-old, 27 year music industry veteran. He is a drummer, bassist, guitarist, mandolin, and keyboardist with 32 years performance and recording experience. Darin has made a living in Nashville, TN from 1989 to 2005 as a composer, band leader, engineer and producer and has numerous album releases and awards to show for years of hard work and dedication. Darin is also a professor at Minnesota State University Moorhead where he teaches Composition for Film and Multimedia, Live Sound Reinforcement and Live Sound Recording.
