| Description: | The Inn is a historic Victorian home converted to a bed & breakfast and restaurant overlooking downtown Independence. Currently, there are four guest rooms with private baths and we have hopes to add two more on the third floor in the near future. The restaurant is fine dining with white linen tableclothes but we welcome folks in comfortable attire excluding ball caps and tank tops. Jeans and tennis shoes welcome. Chef Stephen creates classic cuisine with fresh twist. Some items on the current menu are Chicken Francesco, a sautéed chicken breast with roasted red peppers and garlic…topped with fontina cheese and served over linguini with marinara and Pan Roasted Sea Bass with a sauce of Prosciutto, lemon, white wine and capers…served over your choice of our blended rice pilaf or whole grain pasta. The restaurant is open Friday and Saturday evenings from 4:30 - 8:00 until Easter when we will reopen normal hours, Thursday-Saturday for dinner and Sunday Brunch from 11-2pm.
