| Description: | The Country Club for Dogs is located on the south side of San Angelo, near the San Angelo Country Club, a half mile outside the city limits. As the name implies, our kennel is more like a country club for dogs than a kennel. However, we didn't choose this name, our clients did by always referring to us as the Doggie Country Club. Formerly we were called Heelalong Kennels. We have indoor/outdoor runs, outdoor runs, and indoor pens. All dogs are let out for exercise 3 times a day, or more often if they are puppies or geriatric dogs. Our kennel is secure with a fence surrounding the kennel and another fence surrounding the entire property. Access is via an electric gate. The kennel building has central heat and air. There is someone living in the house next to the kennel so there is always someone around to check on the dogs. All the small dogs are let out as a group, providing they are non-agressive. If they are anti-social they are let out individually into grass pens. Large dogs only go out individually unless other dogs from the same family are staying at the kennel. In the summer, and when it rains, all dogs can be let out under cover so they do not get overheated or wet. | |
