Alpacas are used as a fiber animal for all types of garments, including scarves, gloves, hats, jackets and socks. Their fiber is found to be stronger and warmer than wool, softer than cashmere and almost completely waterproof. It is truly a superior natural fiber, with 22 different natural colors. Alpacas are naturally docile, standing about 36-40” high at the withers and ranging from 100 to 180 lbs.
