Newk’s was founded in 2004 by Don Newcomb, Debra Bryson and Chris Newcomb. The team had previously created and launched the McAlister’s Deli concept. Led by their exacting and trend-setting vision, it quickly became one of the fastest growing fast casual restaurants of the time. After establishing strong upward growth for McAlister’s Deli, the founding team sold the chain and soon began to focus on their new venture – Newk’s Eatery.
As Chris Newcomb tested and perfected menu items, it became apparent this venture would more closely reflect the team’s personal passion in the kitchen. As a matter of fact, many of the staple menu items were born from treasured Newcomb family recipes. Thus “Newk’s” was born – an abbreviated homage to the “Newcomb” cookbook.
With that name comes a commitment to continually create extraordinary meals and experiences for our guests. We live for the tantalizing smells, sights, tastes and textures of meals that are made to perfection. We are obsessed with discovering new recipes and reimagining old favorites – especially our Newcomb Family Recipes. We insist on sourcing the finest ingredients.
