Samba Grill opened June 17, 2008 in Astoria, Queens!! We are located one block off of 31st Street near the Ditmars Blvd. train station (N or W trains to Ditmars Blvd) Our specialty is our BBQ meats. We have 10 different types of meat slowly cooking on a rotating BBQ grill. Our skirt steak and short ribs seem to be a hit! On our buffet table we feature hot and cold Brazilian dishes such as Shrimp sauteed in a yuca cream sauce (Bobo de Camarao), Chicken with okra (Frango com Quiabo), Chicken Stroganoff, Thinly Sliced grilled steak with onions, Feijoada (popular dish in Brazil) which is mixed pork with black beans, Empadao (similar to chicken pot pie), Tilapia fish in coconut/tomato sauce, Codfish with potato (Bacalhau), etc. Choose to eat by the pound or rodizio style service where meats are cut off the skewers right onto your plate. Rodizio style is all you can eat! Got to leave room for dessert!.... because we have delicious flan (pudim), passion fruit mousse (mousse de maracuja), rice pudding (arroz doce), chocolate cakes (bolo de chocolate), chocolate truffles (brigadeiro), etc. Eat in or take to go!
