| Description: | Tonaya Farm is a 10-acre Equestrian Facility specializing in boarding, training and instruction of horses and riders in Jumping, Eventing and Dressage. Jose Luis Perez Soto, an Olympic Bronze Medallist, is trainer and owner of the farm. He and his wife reside on the farm and perform all training and instruction. More than 20 horses live and train on the farm in both Dressage and Jumping disciplines. Riders are encouraged to trailer in their horse for instruction and training. New horses are taken in for training continuously. Jose Luis Perez Soto competed on the Mexican Olympic Team in Eventing in 1976 (Montreal) and 1980 (Moscow). He trained under numerous instructors in Mexico and Buenos Aires for over 14 years. He instructs and trains students here in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Many horses under Jose Luis Perez Soto's training have reached regional and national honors. Currently, he is training 2 purebred Friesians horses in Dressage. A young Dutch Warmblood mare he has trained achieved top ten in young horse Dressage rankings as a 4 yr old.
