Dan Doody is a Maine lobsterman who lives in Rockland. He makes a product that people really like so he has begun selling them online. Lobsterman Doody calls his leashes Lobsterline Leashes. He hand-splices these dog leashes out of reused lobster trap lines. This floatrope that once tied lobster buoys to lobster traps is now outlawed from use in the United States. The floatrope is believed to be harmful to the right whale. It is believed that the right whale which feeds on the top of the ocean becomes entangled in the rope. The leashes are strong, easy to use and good for our environment. And they give a lobsterman a great off-season job. Check out the website http://lobsterlineleashes.blogspot.com/
