| Description: | Welcome to Candor, NY's newspaper. Our moto is Candor for Candor. We started publication at the end of Sept. 2006.with just two pages of local news to see if the paper would be of interest to the citizens of Candor. So far the people of the Town of Candor have accepted our paper and have anticipated getting one each month.We now are up to 20 pages. At the present time we publish only on the last Wed. of each month but may decide to go twice a month if we can. Our paper isn't quite like one would expect a paper to be. We gear ourselves more to the personal side and try to present the news in a warm and fuzzy way. Some of our features, are Spotlight on teachers were we interview a current teacher or one that is retired and as them to tell us about themselves and why they chose teaching as a career. We also, have obit's but not of the traditionl kind as one often reads about in their local paper. Once again ours are more personal and tell about the individual. We also do engagements and marriages. We have a ever growing calender of events that we list each month. We also list the churches and the times of their services. We also list various organizations, like the local ATV club, and the quilting group called :New Quilter's on the Block". We are running a series of articles on the concern over Gater Pub. Our first news release is from the office of the Mayor of Candor. We cover the Town and Villiage board meetings. We, hope to Candor a paper that they will be proud of. One that is for Candor. We want to promote the Town and Villiage of Candors its school,businesses, and the people who own and operate them. We offer to the individual or business that would like to help keep this paper afloat and free a few ways to do so. We offer the ability to buy subscriptions and also for those of you to wish to, tThe availability of placing ads or to be a monthly supporter.
