| Description: | Sew Creative Preparatory teaches students age 7 and up Fashion Design. The students learn to sew and model their clothes in a Fashion Show. Each session is 4 months long beginning in August and January. The school is opened when classes are in session or by appointment. As a compliment to Fashion design, Fashion Sketching, Fashion Show Production, And Fashion Finances are offered for students. Our goal is to better prepare and expose them for a career option in the Fashion Industry. We have guest speakers and presentations for the students. We plan trips that expose them to the Fashion Industry. We are planning a trip to Japan in June of 2011 for our students. What makes us unique is we start them very young sewing to give them a competitive edge. We operate 10 of the 12 months, via summer fashion camps. Studnets participate in community service projects, such as our community sew-a-thon. We made throws, scarves, and hats for the homeless. We are partnering with another organization to make pillow cases for critically ill children. Our mission is to create a lifelong passion that can propel students to success by preparing them early. We also want to instill community service and sharing as a way of life. | |
