| Description: | CCI is a non-profit organization with our national office based in Chicago. We are listed with the U.S. Department of state as a designated foreign exchange agency. We help foreign exchange students from over 40 countries find American host families to spend 2/4 week, semester or academic year long programs that help with cultural interchange, diversity and tolerance training and open up the youth of America's eyes to the larger world around them. Unlike for-profit organizations, CCI allows you to choose your student, assigns you a representative to walk you through the whole process and thoroughly screens each student applicant doing physical, emotional and psychological screening to ensure they are healthy and mature enough to be successful in our program. They also must pass an English assessment test and have good academic grades. They come with all their own spending money and health insurance. Host families only have to provide a bed and meals.
