- Philippa has been a solo massage practitioner since 1991, doing therapeutic massage and stress management/relaxation massage at Park Plaza Salon in the Park Cities area of Dallas, TX for 16 years before moving to Salon FX in Richardson, TX in 2008, where she has been the salon owner since 2005. Her massage style is firm, but not painful, to provide deep relaxation for stress management and natural pain & anxiety relief. Philippa's study of advanced bodywork techniques gives her the skills to address many health issues, such as chronic and acute pain and stress. She has given thousands of massages during her career and has developed a high degree of skill in her field. Philippa's tranquil and serene treatment room is filled with soothing music on an excellent sound system, plus ocean waves and unique lighting. The sturdy, custom made massage table has adjustable cusions to ensure you are comfortable and a warming table pad. The table is custom designed to be comfortable for advanced pregnancy. Before entering the massage field, Philippa had a lifelong background in the medical field. Because of her medical background, Philippa is aware of complications and contra-indications to massage. Clients include all ages and genders, but extensive experience with the senior population and their particular health issues, make her an excellent choice for older clients or those with chronic health issues. Your medical care is between you and your physician. However, it is important to get massage from a massage therapist who will not exacerbate any health conditions you have. This is really impoprtant for folks with osteoporosis, diabetes, taking blood thinning medications, pregnancy, or multiple sclerosis, to name a few.
