| Description: | Rio Restaurant, in the center of Pleasanton, behind City Hall, has been open just over a year. During building we were told that the site had a river running through it decades ago and was now a dry river bed - so we chose the name Rio. Rio is an elegant addition to Pleasanton's many eateries. Open for lunch, Tuesday through Friday and dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. We offer house baked breads, desserts, fabulous steaks, fresh vegetables and a variety of fish. Our wine and beer list is well priced and the selection is always growing. Weather permitting, patio dining is available. We feel certain that no one offers finer food for many miles around and invite you to come and enjoy affordable fine dining in a casual atmosphere. Reservations accepted though not required.
