Enrolled Agents are currently the only individuals who are licensed to pratice before the IRS. CPA's are licensed by the state as are Attorney's. The IRS is currently in the process of creating a class of Tax Preparers who are very limited in what they are legally allowed to do, this class is called 'Registered Tax Return Preparers' they are only allowed to prepare the basic 1040 tax forms and are not allowed to offer tax advice pertaining to taxation not addressed on the form they are filling out. In addition to being an Enrolled Agent requiring continual education to keep up with the changing tax laws Bill Gummo, Ea has been preparing tax returns for over 30 years. We have an unique pricing structure which enables clients to budjet the cost of having their personal tax return correctly prepared. Returning clients whose personal tax return & coresponding information has not substantially changed from the previous year will pay the same price as the previous year. New clients pay 5% more this year than a new client would have paid last year to have the same return correctly prepared.
