An EcoBroker Certified real estate agent receives additional training on energy and environmental issues that relate to real estate transactions. The Built Green movement in housing benefits not only the health of the environment and the health of the owners but in the long term can save the owners a great deal of money on utilities and maintenance. We also encourage the new owners to purchase carbon offsets to make their new homes "Carbon Neutral". These offset monies are used to lower carbon emisions elsewhere in an effort to address global warming. I work in concert with several other "green companies" in order to help offer the public more environmentally sound choices all around the Pacific Northwest.
