Every horse, just like every human, is different, unique. They each require their own training program and method of learning. Although I hold the same basic principles, such as keeping a horse soft in the mouth and supple through his body, I work with the horse and student to find what works best for them. It's important for the horse to remain a willing participant, if you continue training the same thing repeatedly, the horse tends to get bored and dull. To keep them interested it's great to do many different events with them, let them try new things and see what they like to do best. I work toward your goal as a rider but also toward a good relationship with your horse. You and your horse will make a better team when you both understand each other and enjoy what you are doing. I specialize in western pleasure, trail, hunter under saddle and reining, but I also start horses, work with problem horses and do trail riding. I work with beginner to advanced riders.
