The Paul Green School of Rock Music is the only performance-based after school music program for students 8 - 17 years old, speciailizing in the Rock genre in the Twin Cities. We accept students of all experience levels in guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals.
Our curriculum is comprised of three learning elements: one-on-one lessons, group rehearsals and performances. Our 45 minute, one-on-one lessons and three hour group rehearsals are held weekly. Our performances occur about every three months and are real rock concerts in real rock venues. Venues played to date include Bunkers Music Cafe in Minneapolis and O'Garas and Station 4 in St. Paul with tributes to Pink Floyd, The Who and Black Sabbath. Upcoming concerts include AC/DC, Rolling Stones, The Ramones, British Invasion, Old School Punk, Jimi Hendrix, Heavy Metal, Classic Metal, Funk & Reggae and more.
We are open Mon - Thurs 12n - 8pm and Saturday 10am - 7 pm.
All of our instructors are working rock musicians.
We also offer two-week songwriting camps in the summer in which our students learn to write, perform and record songs.

We are one of 41 branches nationwide, with our first location in Philadelphia, PA. It is widely believed that the 2003 movie, School of Rock with Jack Black was loosely based on our first location and our founder, Paul Green.
