| Description: | Hello, this is Mara from Buenos Aires, Argentina currently living and working in Chicago. I am a Spanish tutor (individual o in groups, or online) certified by the “International House (IH) Certificate for Teaching Spanish as a Second or Foreign Language (IHC), an internationally valid certificate, issued by the international House World Organization Foundation (IHWO). I started teaching in 2008 to foreigners in my country, Argentina. I have a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and worked for 5 years in finances. I was earning good money, but I was miserable. I found my passion when I started making friends from the US in Argentina. At the beginning I started helping for free and then started charging. I realized that I loved it and enjoyed it so much, that I wanted to take it as a career so I took my certification as a teacher, and didn’t stop teaching since then. I use the communicative method to teach from Cervantes Institute, I was trained by their methodologist and I think they are the best. The Spanish government is so proud of their language that part of their money is designated to experts to find better ways to teach the language and promote the culture from Spain and Latin America, to the rest of the world. Isn’t that amazing? I always keep myself updated reading thesis and also participating in congresses. I am flexible with the schedule and the materials I provide are free. I charge 30 dollars an hour for private tutoring and if I have to go to your house or office I charge 5 dollars more for transportation. I teach in Chicago, Lake View or by Skype online. My hours of operation are Monday – Friday = 8 am to 8:30 pm Saturday = 9 am to 5pm I do not charge for cancelations and you pay me after each class. |
