We also have wine country custom homes. Schools are ranked in the top tier of California public schools. The afternoon breezes cool down the summer sun. Most nights you'll need a sweater, even in summer. The over forty wineries host outdoor concerts and festivals, many of which are free. Temecula was rated by the FBI the 2nd safest city in the US in 2011. We are an easy drive via I-15. From Temecula, both snow skiing and ocean surfing are less than two hours away. Many of us run down to Carlsbad in about an hour. Big Bear skiing is only an hour-an-a-half away. Laguna Beach and most of Los Angeles is also less than two hours away. The two most convenient airports are San Diego and Ontario. LAX is 1 hour twenty minutes door to door. I've gotten to know the neighborhoods quite well.
