United Martial Arts is Arizona's traditional Kung Fu school, where students can excel in learning about health, fitness and self-defense. Master Doyle Perry is the owner and Director of UMA. He began his martial arts training in 1967 while he was a cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. His 40 years of training in self-defense and hand-to-hand combat makes him the premier teacher of reality-based self-defense in Arizona, and possibly in the country. This also includes simple and effective self-defense techniques specific to women.
For those interested in health and fitness, we teach a complete range of traditional martial arts exercise forms to improve your overall quality of life.
Too many martial arts schools are following the lead of the health clubs and developing hihg-pressure sales pitches to convince students to sign a long-term contract, even before they know what they are getting into. At UMA, we NEVER use contracts. Our students train with us because we are the best, not because they signed a contract.
UMA was among the first in America to develop a comprehensive Stranger Danger program for children. We have taught it to thousands of children since 1998.
