Crazy Girl yarn shop is one of the largest yarn shops in Iowa. We specialize in natural fibers from all over the world but we also carry yarns and rovings from local Iowa and Illinois flocks. We carry everything for the handknitter including yarns, of course, needles, accessories, books, patterns and even bags to carry everything in. We give FREE knitting lessons every day, any time - just drop in. We have a wonderful website that shows many photos of our shop and also has an online shopping component. We are located in one of the old factory buildings that were built during the button heyday and have recently been renovated into a beautiful and architecturally interesting shopping district. Our shop is just one of several shops in the Pearl Plaza. Other shops include a women's dress shop, a chocolate shop, a deli style restaurant with outdoor seating so you can watch the Mississippi barges go by while sipping on a gourmet coffee or tea, plus others. Definately a destination and worth the trip from where ever you are. Plan to spend the day. You might also want to bring your knitting and hang out for a while in our "sit-n-knit" where you can visit and knit with whomever happens to come in that day. |
