The owner Susan Mendelson is a licensed social worker with extensive experience working with children and families, and another well establshed practice in Mountainside New Jersey. The training is provided in a group setting with members being of the same approximate age and ability, not disability or issue. Some of the topics covered include conversation skills, listening skills, anger management, anxiety, selective mutism, bullying, assertiveness, empathy, and shyness. The children seen may have no disability at all but lack a sense of confidence and self-esteem, while others may have Asperger's, ADHD, OCD, Autism, PDD NOS, auditory processing problems, fetal alcohol syndrome, selective mutism, anxiety disorder, and OCD.
