| Description: | Matteo's Pizzeria is a small family owned and operated pizzeria. We are the oldest, independent carry-out delivery pizzeria operating in Williamson county. We have been selected as the best of pizzerias by Nashville City Search in 2006, and were selected as the 2nd best pizzeria in Williamson county by a readers poll for the county magazine in 2006. We make a traditional thin crust Chicago style pizza. Our recipe was brought over to American from Italy over 65 years ago. We make our crust every day on site and use them with in 24 hours of making them, as opposed to national chains that send frozen dough balls from comisarries. We use real cheese, that is 100% dairy not frozen cheese that only has a dairy content of 50% and the balance is fillers and extenders. Our red sauce is made of the finest tomatoes from California, they are fresh packed in the fields, not a product from concentrate. We do not add sugar to our sauce. Many other pizzerias are known to loadup their red sauce with sugar to make a sweet taste for children and adults alike. Matteo's is also unique in that we make and serve a gluten free pizza. As far as we know we are the only pizzeria in middle Tennessee making gluten free pizzas. We also have the ability to make, bake and flash freeze pizza and we ship to destinations as far away as the state of Washington, Arizona and Michigan to name just a few. Bottom line is you can not find a fresher pizza than the one we make. We are a great dining experience and certainly a good example of a good local business serving the needs of the area in a very unique fashion.
