Middleton Baby and Child Care is a medium-sized child care center, with a maximum possible enrollment of forty-eight. Middleton Baby and Child Care provides part-time and full-time care from 6:45 AM to 5:30 PM, for children ages six weeks through twelve years.
We are the only group child care center in the area to accept part-time enrollment for children under two years of age; about half of our under-two enrollment is part-time. Part-time may be just mornings, just afternoons, two days per week, or three days per week.
We provide breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack, with a strong healthy-food emphasis. Bread, pasta, and rice are all whole grain, and we use fresh fruit rather than canned. Treats are fine for birthdays, and we'll never disrespect families' food choices, but we believe children's everyday food should be as healthy as possible.
We are interested in being "green": parents may bring cloth diapers if they wish, we use environmentally-friendlier paper and cleaning products, and we plant a small organic garden with the children each spring.
Exposure to a second language during childhood has been shown to be beneficial throughout life. Middleton Baby and Child Care provides Spanish education to all children, with babies and toddlers hearing Spanish as part of their everyday care, and older children having daily Spanish lessons. Some of our staff are native speakers of Spanish, providing an authentic language experience.
