  • 229.164 (v) (4) PHF > shelf life. Observed packages of diced apples in front refrigerator that were expired. Ensure employees are routinely checking for expired foods.
  • 229.164 (f) (2) (A) (iv) not protected. Observed employee beverage stored in ice machine. All ice used for consumption must be kept clean free of any contamination. Employees may not stored beverages in ice machine.
  • 229.167 (e) (3) (A) no towels. Observed no paper towels at front hand washing sink. Supply every hand washing sink with individual disposable towels.
  • 229.168 (c) (1) toxics stored. Observed can of spray paint stored in box of kids French fry holders. All toxic items must be stored below and/or way from food, equipment, utensils, linens, and single-service articles.
  • 229.165 (r) (3) (D)no sanitization. Mechanical dishwasher was not dispensing sanitizer during its cycle because chlorine container was empty. Ensure sanitizer is refilled when needed and chemical concentration is check regularly. If no sanitizer is available for machine, establishment must use the manual ware washing sinks (wash, rinse, sanitize, air dry).

Upon my arrival, I heard the type of chatter you would hear outdoors with some profanity and complaints of issues unrelated to McDonalds.
My order was taken with instructions to burn my muffin were given to the girl in charge of toasting and although her hair was up, I noticed it was not covered with a net or cap. I also observed several employees ( in red shirts, ight blue shirts and charcoal grey shirts) eating tacos and drinking from unmarked styrofoam cups (clearly from a competetor) out in the open near the main counter under the menu. Their food and drink(s) were laying on top of McDonalds bags and finishing area. The chatter in the cooking area also confirmed that tacos were being consumed as orders for them were being confirmed. I also observed and a man (weating a black shirt and who spoke with an accent) place a leather type personal bag on the workspace under the menu at the front of the reception counter where orders are prepared.
There were several employees in the front area standing around chatting, and upon completion of my order, it was called out more than once and no one bothered to check it. I began to walk up to the counter to see why, and the woman who took my order noticed me walking up and tells me she forgot my order. I also observed a young man in the prep area pick up trash from the floor, ball it up and toss it into a recetacle, then proceed to prepare food for pick up.
