The paper is one of the few family-owned newspapers in the country, and has a circulation of approximately 70,000. The Weekly is distributed throughout the area on Fridays, and features a calendar of events, nonprofit news, and other health and welfare features. Television and RadioSix television stations—four major commercial stations plus PBS and Pax—have broadcast studios in Bangor. More than 15 AM and FM radio stations are broadcast in the area.
