Bridgeport: CommunicationsNewspapers and MagazinesBridgeport's daily, The Connecticut Post, is published every morning. Other newspapers in the city include the monthly Fairfield County Catholic, published by the Diocese of Bridgeport, and the Bridgeport News, which publishes weekly. Television and RadioBridgeport has one public television station, and one cable franchise. However, the city receives New York City stations as well. Two AM and two FM radio stations broadcast from Bridgeport. Connecticut Radio Information Service, headquartered in Wethersfield, broadcasts readings from daily newspapers and magazines for the benefit of state residents who are blind or cannot hold or turn pages.
