Wilmington: Municipal Government

Wilmington, the New Castle County seat, has a mayor-council form of government. Elected to a four-year term, the mayor is the city's chief administrator. Like the mayor, Wilmington's thirteen city council members are elected for four-year terms every presidential election year.
