The screen door had been fixed since my last visit but was broke because of heavy traffic. The self closer was only ninety percent effective and needs replacement.
  • 3270 - Harborage conditions exist for cockroaches. Incoming shipments must be more carefully inspected for insects. Terminex had reportedly missed two visits for pest contol applications. Paper products that contribute to harborage were improperly stored.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS VISIT WAS TO INVESTIGATE COMPLAINT #332288.
FINDINGS/OBSERVATIONS; 1) SINCE 011704, OVER 1000 EGG ROLLS HAD BEEN SOLD TO THE PUBLIC WITH NO OTHER REPORTED ILLNESSES 2) EGG ROLLS ARE MADE FRESH EVERY FOUR DAYS AND CONSIST MAINLY OF CABBAGE AND SOME BEEF IN A ROLL.3)TEMPERATURES OF EGG ROLLS RANGED FROM 33-41 DEGREES F.4) NO SANITARY DEFICIENCIES WERE NOTED AT THE TIME OF THE VISIT EXCEPT SOME FOODS WERE UNCOVERED IN THE WALKIN.5) NO EVIDENCE WAS FOUND TO SUPPORT A FOODBORNE ILLNESS FROM THIS FACILITY.6) OWNER/OPERATOR WAS VERY COOPERATIVE AND SURPRISED ABOUT THE COMPLAINT
CONCLUSION: SINCE THE COMPLAINANTS DID NOT SEE A PHYSICIAN AND NO SPECIMENS WERE TAKEN, FOODBORNE ILLNESS WAS NOT DIAGNOSED.THE CAUSE WAS PROBABLY EPIDEMIC VIRAL GASTROENTEROPATHY WITH THE SOURCE UNKNOWN.
