Violation: 2230 - Critical There are not an adequate number of handwash lavatories on site. (See 12 VAC5-421-2280). Need to install a seperate hand sink in the breakfast area. Employees cannot wash hands in the 2 compartment sink.
Install additional lavatories to increase the employee's opportunity to wash hands routinely. Prior to installing additional plumbing fixtures the permit holder must apply and gain approval through the necessary regulatory agencies.
Comments:
Need a commercial detergent- sanitizer for use in the existing 2 compartment sink. noted pre prepared boiled eggs and waffel mix is in use. Contact health dept with the name of the commercial detergent-sanitizer, and when the seperate hand sink is installed.

Comments:
no food service at time of inspection. Note: Should be 0820 cold holding violation not 0820 1 but is a computer glitch. Have to correct by hand.

Obtain a qt 10 test kit so that employees can accurately monitor the concentration of the sanitizing solutions and maintain them at a safe and effective level.
Comments:
hard-boiled eggs on container for service was at 59 F. Appears ice melted. may not be a violation since holding time for service is between 6 to 10 . Keep cold though. saw what appears Hccap temp charts for the eggs.. a) noted 2 comp sink in use. b)handsink is the same as 2 comp sink.c) strongly recommend separate handsink. d) Provide the health dept with the breakfast procedure for review.

    Obtain a sanitizing test kit so that employees can accurately monitor the concentration of the sanitizing solutions and maintain them at a safe and effective level.
  • 1880 - Critical The food-contact surfaces of the following equipment were not observed sanitized: a) the waffle iron/baker the unit needs to be cleaned & sanitized after use noted crusted food accumulations on the sides. b) The container holding the waffle mix needs to be washed rinsed and sanitized.
    After cleaning and rinsing of the food-contact surface, the surface shall be effectively sanitized.

Comments:
Appears new food such as waffles that are mixed on site and poured by customers into the waffle pan has been added to the menu for continental breakfast. This means utensils and a container has to be washed rinsed and sanitized which would require the installation of a 3 compartment sink and a separate hand sink . Currently motel has a 2 compartment sink with no separate hand sink. 60 days to install.
