    Maintain nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment clean.
Comments:
Manager took Aprils CFM class and had a family emergency. She has to take the class again in May. Approved for permit.

    Protect water jug from cross contamination by storing water jug in packages, covered containers, or wrappings.
Comments:
This establishment needs a Certified Food Manager.

    Provide a temperature measuring device in all hot or cold holding equipment used to store potentially hazardous foods so that employees can routinely monitor the ambient air temperature.

    Repair the milk jug to restore a state of condition that allows for proper operation, accuracy, functioning, maintenance, and cleanability per Part IV, Article 1 and 2 of this chapter. If unable to repair the milk jug, replace it with one that meets the specifications of Part IV, Article 1 and 2 of this chapter.

    Use a quat. ammonia chemical test kit to ensure the sanitizing solution is maintained at the proper solution.
  • 1800 - The nonfood contact surface of the chest freezer has accumulations of grime and debris.
    Clean the surface at a frequency necessary to preclude accumulation of soil residues that become encrusted or attract insects and rodents.
  • 1860 - A distinct, separate water rinse after washing and before sanitizing of utensils and equipment was not observed.
    Properly utilize the approved alternate manual warewashing method equivalent to a 3-compartment sink as listed in subparagraph 12 VAC 5-421-1460 C.
  • 3030 - No disposable towels were provided at the hand washing lavatory in the food prep. area.
    Hand drying devices such as individual disposable paper towels, a continuous towel system that supplies the user with a clean towel or heated air hand drying device must be provided at all hand washing lavatories to encourage proper hand washing and avoid employees to drying their hands on their clothing or other unclean materials
  • 3260 - Employees are not using the dressing rooms or lockers provided.
    Employees that regularly change their clothes in the establishment should use the dressing room or lockers provided.
  • 3340 - Corrected During Inspection Critical Containers of 409 and clorox wipes are not properly stored to prevent the contamination of food, equipment, utensils, linens or single service items.
    Containers of 409 and clorox wipes must be located in an area that is not above food, equipment, utensils, linens or single service items.
Comments:
The Food manager has a Food Handler Card from Portmouth. They need a Certified Food Manager and we gave them a schedule. The food staff cannot use 409 or clorox wipes to sanitize food equipment.

Comments:
Note: Continental breakfast foods are pre-packaged (i.e. muffins, cereal, etc.). Overall management and sanitation is great! Permit Renewal Issued-post permit in public's view.

Comments:
Continental breakfast area-all foods are prepackaged/precooked. Reminder: Store cases of water/drinks on storage that is at least 6 inches above the floor. Overall food management and sanitation is great.
