April 07, 2006 (Complaint)

Comments:
Investigating complaint received - complainant got sick 1 hr. after eating chicken, french fries and a coke. Inspection revealed no problems with food handling - gloves worn by employees. No temperature violations noted at time of visit. No problems noted with unit temperatures.
Chicken is received pre-cooked (no raw chicken). Holding time for chicken is 20 minutes, after that time the chicken is discarded.
No employees have been sick. No other complaints received.

Note: Investigating complaint received - moldy cheese on Bacon Ranch salad.
Investigation shows: salads received in prepackaged /sealed bags
Bacon Ranch salad has lettuce, tomatoes & cheddar and colby cheeses
Cheese is prepackaged and was stored at 41 degrees F. Cheeses are added to lettuce/salads during preparation time. Employees wear plastic gloves during food preparation. No problems noted with the cheese or handling of cheese at time of visit.
Note: The Cobb salad has crumbled blue cheese on it which could appear because of it's color.
Salads are put into covered plastic bowls and stored in the refrigerator before serving.
A violation was noted at time of inspection (large bowl of salad stored uncovered inside the refrigerator- possible cross contamination). Bowl of salad was discarded at time of inspection.
No other complaints received.
Phone message left for complainant concerning status of complaint.
