Description: The Pioneer Press, based in St. Paul and commonly referred to as “the St. Paul paper,” is Minnesota’s oldest newspaper, founded as the Minnesota Pioneer in 1849. KSTP was the first television station in the Twin Cities, signing on the air on April 27, 1948.
