Description: During the third week in December, the Christmas Boat Parade lights up Newport Harbor with an array of colorful holiday lights. Some boats are decorated with animated Christmas scenes and carolers. The boats travel 14 miles around Newport Harbor allowing viewers to enjoy the lights from restaurants, public beaches, and private homes. The parade takes place five consecutive nights and starts at 6:30 p.m. each night.

Description: Twinkling lights, traditional caroling, and a gingerbread village are part of the holiday magic that takes place the first weekend in December from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Kids can make holiday crafts and visit Santa and his elves and adults can enjoy hot chocolate and other holiday goodies while looking at the fascinating exhibits at the aquarium.
