Description: This daily service offers rides in the city of Fairfax and to the Vienna Metrorail Station and George Mason University. Regular fares are $1.35. You can purchase convenient 10-ticket booklets ($13.50) through the City Treasurer’s Office (703-385–7859). High-school students with school IDs, elementary and intermediate students, ID-carrying seniors age 60 and older, disabled persons, and George Mason students, faculty, and staff with university IDs ride for 65 cents. Children ages three and younger ride for free when accompanied by an adult. Disabled persons should call the service to arrange City Wheels or Metro Access transportation.

Description: One of the largest community bus systems, with around 50 routes, the daily Fairfax Connector serves much of Fairfax County. Riders need exact cash or Metrobus passes, tokens, or commuter tickets, and rides cost $1.35 to $7. All buses in the Reston/Herndon area are wheelchair lift–equipped.
