AON DAILY INCIDENT, FAA ACCIDENT/INCIDENT PRELIMINARY DATA, AIRPORT, AND NEWS MEDIA (x/xx/xx UPATED WITH xND xxxx-x, xx/x/xx UPDATED WITH NTSB, x/xx/xx COMBINED DUPLICATE REPORTS)
Remarks: PILOT SAW 4-8 ANIMALS DURING T/O RUN. AND TRIED TO AVOID THEM BY PULLING BACK ON THE CONTROLS. THE A/C WAS IN A NOSE-HIGH ATTITUDE AND THE STALL WARNING HORN WAS SOUNDING AND THE AIRSPEED WAS DECREASING. HE REDUCED HIS BACK PRESSURE ON THE COLUMN. THE A/C TOUCHED DOWN "HARD" ON THE MAIN LDG GEAR AND THE NOSE "FELL THROUGH" UNTIL THE PROPELLER AND FUSELAGE CONTACTED THE RWY. THE A/C VEERED TO THE RT AND THE PILOT SHUT DOWN THE ENG. A VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPT AND RESCUE PERSONNEL FROM 2 ORGANIZATIONS ARRIVED ON THE SCENE. 2 DEER, ONE WHICH WAS CUT INTO 3 PIECES WERE FOUND ON THE RWY. THE RWY WAS CLOSED FOR 2 HOURS FOR CLEAN UP. PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION FOUND THE NLG WAS COLLAPSED, THE RADAR POD ON THE RT WING WAS DENTED, ALL 3 PROPELLER BLADES WERE BENT, 1 ENGINE MOUNT ATTACH POINT WAS FRACTURED AND THE FIREWALL WAS BUCKLED. THE PILOT FELT THE A/C STRIKE 2 DEER. A/C CAME TO REST 2000 FT DOWN THE RWY AT EDGE OF PAVEMENT. EMERGENCY RESPONSE WAS INITIATED. NO FIRE. RWY WAS CLOSED FOR ABOUT 2 HRS TO REMOVE A/C & 2 DEER. SUBSTANTIAL DMG TO PROP & NOSE GEAR. REPLACED ENG, PROP, NOSE GEAR, CRANKSHAFT & RADAR DOME. LOWER FUSELAGE DAMAGE FROM SCRAPING RWY.
